    BASE FOR THERMAL APPLIANCES
    The present invention relates to a base for thermal devices such as storage tanks, heating boilers or the like, such as for example a base for thermal appliances, comprising an expanded carrier body with an appliance laying surface and a surface flank determining the outer contour of the carrier body, knowing that the carrier body is covered at least in part with a metal shell.
    In order to avoid having to directly place such devices on the floor (keyword: static stability in the event of unevenness) as well as thermally isolating and protecting the floor against humidity, devices of this type are generally installed. on such bases more or less flat. These consist for example of an expanded carrier body with an appliance laying surface and a flank surface determining the outer contour of the carrier body, knowing that the carrier body is at least partially covered with a metal casing. The carrier body is composed for example of a polyurethane foam and the envelope of a sheet more or less thin but must withstand occasional stress due to the installation of the device. Such a base, from which we leave here too, is known according to the documentation of the applicant since 2008. This is for it a rectangular product, flat box-shaped, for which a cut sheet metal part forming The casing must be bevelled all around to make the flank surfaces, beveled flank surfaces to be fixed against each other and the hollow body inserted into a corresponding mold being finally foamed with polyurethane foam. In addition, reference is made to pedestals which do not have foaming, but on the other hand to a rectangular flat box shape, to DE 298 23 188 U1 and DE 93 09 966 U1.
    The object of the present invention is to start from a base of the type mentioned at the beginning of improving it further.
    This object is achieved according to the invention by a base having the following characteristics: the outer contour, seen in elevation view of the base, is made at least partly in the form of a curve.
    Advantageously, the angular base shapes, so far customary, and thus also expensive in terms of manufacture, are thus entirely avoided, with the exception of the stylistic accessory effect of adapting to generally cylindrical shapes, in particular storage tanks. This is also related to the fact that the new base no longer has abutment corners. The embodiment, wherein the pedestal has a circular shape in elevation view, is preferred. In so far as it is necessary to take into account embodiments still to be explained in detail which also fulfill the basic requirement of at least partial curve formation, it should be understood that such bases are intended in particular to be positioned by their right side against a wall of the installation space.
    The base according to the invention is explained in detail later by means of the graphical representation of exemplary embodiments. The figures of the drawings show: FIG. 1: the preferred embodiment of the base partly in section and in side view; Figure 2: the base according to Figure 1 in elevation view; FIG. 3: in enlargement and at approximately 1: 1 scale, the partial section of the base according to FIG. 1 and FIGS. 4 to 5: elevational views of particular embodiments.
    The base consists of an expanded carrier body 1 with an apparatus laying surface 2 and a flank surface 4 defining the outer contour 3 of the carrier body 1, knowing that the carrier body 1 is covered at least in part or almost 5. At least in part takes into account the fact that the envelope 5 can be opened downwards so as to expose the carrier body 1, slightly protruding towards the bottom of the envelope 5 (see FIG. in particular Figure 2), so as to support the load directly on the ground.
    For the preferred embodiment and shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the condition according to the invention of the curve formation is fulfilled by the circular shape represented by the envelope 5, whose hollow space, as pre-evoked in a preliminary manner. , is foamed with polyurethane (especially without HCFC) after the introduction of the casing 5 formed preferably simply by deep drawing or stamping in a suitable mold and can be closed. It is quite possible also to keep the slight bend 6 recognizable in FIG. 3 from the bottom flank edge inwards and the formation also known, on the ground side, of the polyurethane core in the form of a support bead. of ground 7 in the form of a circular ring.
    The particular embodiments shown in Figures 4 to 6 are intended, in particular and as pre-evoked, to place the respective base by its right side 8 against a wall of the appliance installation space (to this extent for example the to stare).
    The embodiment according to FIG. 4 represents a base in the shape of a semicircle, that according to FIG. 5 a circular segment and that according to FIG. 6 a combination of a semicircle and a rectangle. Due to the possibility of deep drawing or embossing the respective envelope 5, the angular areas, as shown, are preferably rounded.
    Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and shown, from which we can provide other modes and other embodiments, without departing from the scope of the invention. .
